Admission

What to expect, what to bring, and how admission works.

Step by step

How admission works

  1. First contact

Call, WhatsApp or walk in at any hour. Calling ahead helps us prepare.

The doctor examines the person and talks with them and the family.

  3. Plan and consent

The doctor explains the treatment plan. Forms are completed.

  4. Settling in

The patient and family are shown around and told the daily routine.

Your rights

Under the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017, most people are admitted as independent patients, by their own choice. A person who cannot make decisions about their treatment at that time may be admitted with support, under conditions set by the Act, with their nominated representative involved.

Patients have the right to be treated with dignity, to confidentiality, to information about their treatment and to communicate with family. You can read more in our article on your rights under the Mental Healthcare Act.

Visiting

Please call us before visiting so that the team can tell you the best time and what you may bring.

Fees

Costs depend on the treatment plan and length of stay. Please call and we will explain.

We are here, day and night
